Some final announcements before we retreat for the summer:
**
A great opportunity has been added to our Call for Papers. Our affiliated art journal, Kunstlicht, is preparing for its third issue of the year, which will focus on what Hal Foster has termed the ‘archival impulse’ and the relationships between an archive’s ‘system’ and its content. Kunstlicht is looking for young authors to contribute to the issue, so if you’re working on archives (in all shapes and sizes), be sure to check out the Call for Papers section!

Upcoming students, or those who still have to finish some research seminars, might be interested to know that a fifth seminar has been added to the Visual Arts list: Tinguely and Transmissibility. The seminar will be held in the first semester of the 2011-2012 academic year, in the context of Métamatic Research Initiative (i.c.w. All Art Initiatives). It will be taught by guest lecturer Jae Emmerling (University of North Carolina). More information on the seminar will later be distributed through the VU study guide and student portal. You can find more information on Métamatic Research Initiative on www.metamaticresearch.info
